THE TAO METAVERSITY’S RECIPE FOR SUCCESS – It’s all about getting the perfect combination of ingredients.
THE HOW - The True, the Beautiful, and the Good. Accordingly, the TAO Metaversity organizes its programs-colleges following this ancient insight.
THE WHAT - Meta means, in addition to, beyond. Tao means, the way. This is an environment that bridges what learning environments have represented up to this point in additional to what is opening up in each individual and the universe. The TAO Metaversity recognizes that each individual intrinsically holds what they spend their lives searching for. The curriculum’s focus is on coming to learn less and experiencing more.
OVERALL FEELING – The TAO Metaversity is an environment where teachers and students question, probe and create a world in peace and openness; where the natural recognition of self is fostered by encouraging the connection between humanity and nature. The goal of the curriculum is not mastery of subject matter but mastery of one’s being, a recognition that knowledge carries with it the responsibility to see that is well used in the world and the way learning occurs is as important as the content of particular courses.
GREEN and SUSTAINABLE - The TAO Metaversity represents a life giving energy. A direct vibrant, sustainable life giving energy that not only moves through the buildings and their inhabitants but it also radiates out through the gardens into the surrounding land and impacts all form within that area. The TAO Metaversity is an energy generator. It utilizes the ultimate energy source available – the energy in each one of us.
SACRED ARCHITECTURE – The Co-Creative process acknowledges that there is an inherent intelligence within all of nature*. This can be acknowledged as intuition, an inner knowing or an innerdimensional conversation. When we understand where and with whom these conversations come from, we are experiencing the TAO Metaversity at a level of “BEing”. It is accessed consciously or unconsciously. We can recognize this co-creative partnership as a conversation we have with the universe, God, source, light or nature.
NATURE and SOIL-LESS GARDEN – A garden is not natural. It is man-made. You don’t go out in the world and run across a free-growing vegetable garden containing cabbage, beans, tomatoes, snap peas and watermelon. We invented gardens. This project is referred to as a “soil-less garden” which is no different than a garden. Rather than various plants and seeds being planted in one location, we are bringing together various ideas, materials, shapes, and colors and the co-creative process is bringing order, organization and life vitality to them under the project name of the TAO Metaversity where they did not previously exist.
TAO METAVERSITY CURRICULUM and PEDAGOGY – The TAO Metaversity pursues its mission thru its academies and programs. The description of its Academies support the global curriculum for the network of experiential environments.
GIVING and RECEIVING GIFTS - The Wall Of Prayers and The Path of Intentions will grace the grounds where the TAO Metaversity calls home. This Wall of Prayers and The Path of Intentions will hold the prayers from the modern day teachers. These stones hold the on-going sacred conversations we have with God, Source, and Light . These stones contain the prayers and intentions that transcend time and space giving each of us a voice to co-create a community united in prayer. These stones contain the ancient truths recognized as current prayers and intentions.
ABOUT WENDY ADAMS MENDENHALL, FOUNDER – The more that we’re different, the more that we’re the same. We all hold a piece of the universal puzzle. If you or I don’t bring our piece, what is intrinsic in each of us, the whole picture is never realized, never complete and never becomes the masterpiece it is.

The work people do, the way they live together, how they relate to one another and how they see their role in society and place in the universe is changing. Humanity cannot continue to resolve twenty-first century dilemmas with first-century guidelines.

Wow. Who ever is in charge of this blog is a genius. I came to it once before weeks ago and liked it but I wasn’t sure what their goal was. The blog has come along way and become much more clear. I am hopeful to see this college thing grow and come to pass. Please let me know what I and anyone like me can do to help. By anyone like me, I mean normal people with average incomes and abilities. My name is Shelly Williams, you know me as the other woman from the TAO Metaversity. I come to you after a few days of reflection at the completion of your projects and the final jury panel as well as the reception at the Jon Huntsman Pavilion.
I am grateful to you for the opportunity granted me by sharing your journey and your work. I visited three times and each was a joy as your work progressed. You all brought form to a concept that is lofty and intangible. It required of you more than your architectural abilities. It required of you to go inside yourselves and open yourselves to spirit of The TAO Metaversity and to one another.
You became what the TAO Metaversity is. The experience of learning less by experiencing more. I saw your eyes open, your passion grow and your understanding deepen. You conveyed yourselves with conviction and passion. All of your projects were beautiful and successful in the end. Each was done with heart, a soul searching journey, passion, excitement and understanding.
All were different and all were perfect, each embodying more than a building, much more. Each represents a path traveled and the future of a new and different kind of higher education, one that honors one another, reveres creativity, and promotes the journey that comes from communing with our brothers
I feel very honored to have witnessed and shared with you. Your generosity of heart while together after the final jury panel was refreshing and inspiring. Thank you all so very much.
I believe that your experience bringing form to prayerful thought will leave you different persons and professionals than when you began your projects. Thank you for your hard, hard work and the many, many hours. They were not lost on me or anyone that knows you let alone all involved and came to see your finished product.
I am proud of each of you and filled with excitement for the next step.
