- It is not half so important to know as to experience.
A campus where ecology and economics come together. The buildings will be
energy efficient utilizing, materials that support the environment, utilize natural airflows for heat and cooling, wind power for electricity, water utilization for heating and cooling. The buildings and surrounding landscape are designed to be sustainable in energy sources as well as generating a positive cash flow. Buildings and landscape will extend our ecological imagination. Landscape will provide shade, break winter winds, propagate rare plants, provide habitat for animals, and restore bits of vanished ecosystems.
The TAO Metaversity represents a life giving energy. A direct vibrant, sustainable life giving energy that not only moves through the buildings and their inhabitants but it also radiates out through the gardens into the surrounding land and impacts all form within that area. The TAO Metaversity is an energy generator. It utilizes the ultimate energy source available – the energy in each one of us. As man and nature work more closely together, “this soil-less garden’s”* energy shifts, clarifies and strengthens, creating balance, which in turn makes “the soil-less garden”* a finely tuned generator. And the life energy contained within all surrounding form is enhanced that much more. Nothing is separate. We have thought in terms of energy as a source accessed outside of ourselves. *For clarification of the term soil-less garden, go to Nature and Soil-less Gardens page.
With the creation of the TAO Metaversity, is the recognition of the inner energy solutions to be implemented into all curriculum and projects – one of the grandest form of energy is the energy of the co-creative process. We talk about sustainable energy, alternative energy, etc. The 21st century has been referred to as the energy century. Up until this co-creation, many have thought that “the energy century” refers to alternative energy solutions commonly associated to the environment outside of ourselves.
The Grounds devoted to the search, study and advancement of being where the TAO Metaversity will stand will be sacred and sustainable. Structures will be built as a monument by and to the community to include their intentions and thoughts. For example, the “Path of Intentions”* and the “Wall of Prayer”*. The symbolic nature of these constructions need to be integrated within the overall masterplan. Water, trees, meditation areas, the rhythms of nature, the night sky and the mysteries of life need to be acknowledged in the grounds as part of the teaching nature of the TAO Metaversity. *For a description of The Wall of Prayers and The Path of Intentions, go to Giving and Receiving page.

If this Metaversity is to be built, how do I help? Tell me more about it. This blog leaves me hungry, thirsty and wanting more but only the finest will do. Until now I did not know what that was!!!!
I have never dreamed of such a thing as this! Nor until recently have I heard of an Energy Generator being something even remotely connected to higher learning. I am very interested in this concept this Metaversity introduces and I look forward to reading more about it. Keep up the good work. It looks like the angels are on your side!
Wendy!
I am searching diligently for my path. There are so many directions to choose from, and as I am exploring possibilities, I am filtering them through intuition.
My search has led me thus far to inner knowledge that what I seek in an occupation must contain some, if not all, of my passions: gardening, organic and sustainable practices, renewal of the earth’s natural balance, and creation of beauty for all to benefit from.
A community-based endeavor is a must, because I am not interested in doing things alone anymore. I’ve been reading your blog and I want to express my desire to offer my services and abilities to help you in your inspired creation of the TAOMetaversity.
If you feel that there is a part for me to play in your endeavors, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Julie Hawkins
